Unrelenting Threats and Smearing Campaign Against CEAS Director Ms. Jelena Milic

Dear Colleagues,

The Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies from Belgrade, Serbia (CEAS) would like to bring to your attention the latest examples of threats and a smearing campaign against CEAS and in particular its director Ms. Jelena Milić brought by Vojislav Šešelj, convicted war criminal and Jugoslav Petrušić, a mercenary from the Milosevic era and currently on trial for assassination of two Kosovo Albanians in 1999, among other obscure things he has been involved in. Both of these characters are vehemently denying genocide in Srebrenica and relativizing Serbian armed forces’ crimes during the war in Kosovo.

Announcement: Influence of pro-Putin structures on Belgrade election that no one is talking about – From "Zavetnici" list, Mr. Ristić, Mr. Sinđelić, to ''Ne davimo Beograd'' list

The Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies (CEAS) from Belgrade expresses great concern regarding the fact that, despite numerous indications and obvious connections, during the election campaign for Belgrade elections, which many consider transcend the limits of communal, management and other issues related only to the city of Belgrade, none of election participants, commentators and the media mentions the illegitimate, non-transparent, and possibly a criminal influence of pro-Putin structures on themselves. Of particular concern is that the supposedly democratically oriented opposition parties did not utter a single word about this issue. At least CEAS has written enough about the multiple relationships and connections of the current Serbian government and Putin's government.

CEAS press – Narodna stranka does not understand the current geopolitical trends or military neutrality

The Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies is unpleasantly surprised by the ignorance of political processes in the world and/or amateurish logical fallacy shown by the vice president of Narodna stranka, Zdravko Ponoš. To score cheap political points, a few days ago Ponoš commented on a somewhat vague statement by the Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin about the participation of Serbian forces in the fight against terrorism.
