Today in the Balkans continue occurring complex processes, which change the balance of power in it and the geopolitical orientation of the region as a whole. However, there are still issues, such as, for example, the Serbia-Kosovo dispute, which, due to its complexity, because of the interweaving of historical, ethnic and international aspects and the involving of diametrically opposite interests in it, maintain a degree of tension in the region and impede the safe existence of its countries and largely reduces their opportunities for development and cooperation.
